LADIES AND GENTLEMEN
WELCOME BACK TO
(THE MEME, beta version)

THE LIFE OF A GAME SHOW HOST IS HARD, PARTICULARLY WHEN YOUR CONTESTANTS ARE BOUND AND DETERMINED TO DERAIL THE SHOW AT EVERY TURN. MISREAD CATEGORIES, NON-SEQUITUR ANSWERS, INAPPROPRIATE HUMOR... THE GUESTS ARE READY TO DO JUST ABOUT ANYTHING EXCEPT PLAY THE GAME.
BUT VALIANTLY, YOU MARCH ON. AFTER ALL, THE FUTURE OF DAYTIME TELEVISION IS DEPENDING ON YOU. IF YOU WON'T FILL THE MINDS OF SICK CHILDREN AND STAY-AT-HOME PARENTS WITH IRRELEVANT TRIVIA, THEN WHO WILL?
Post a toplevel starter (no blank comments, please!) for your character, who is either hosting or playing a game of Jeopardy! You could even put up one of each. After that, tag around and play the game! Or... tag around and don't play the game. Hosts, try to keep the show on track. Your paycheck and self-respect on the line, after all. Contestants... go wild. The day is yours.STARTER PROMPTS
Hosts:
- Apologize for the incident just before commercial break.
- Explain to your contestants that [insert phrase here] is not a category on the board.
- Silently curse the execs who decided [insert phrase here] should, in fact, be a category on the board.
- Remind your contestants what is and is not appropriate daytime television behavior.
- Wonder out loud how someone managed to get only three points.
- Wildcard. Seriously, if you have a better idea, go for it.
Contestants:
- Act like you're on a different show.
- Act like you haven't left your canon.
- I need more ideas for prompts you guys.
